So I’ve decided to try a new tact. I am submitting on InkShares my book and I will detail that process.
I submitted it to the Horror Contest on InkShares which ends October 31st.
Now, if you haven’t heard of InkShares it’s a crowdfunding site that offers you the chance to get your book published. The catch being that you have 90 to 180 days (whichever you pick) to get your book funded. In other words, you have to try and nag people you know, or on the site to preorder your book.
This is an interesting endeavor to crowdfund your own work. To market and put yourself out there.
Already I have run into some issues. Trying to sell yourself is never easy. The platform is filled with other writers who, though many care about books supporting others, are really there trying to promote their own books.
For the next few weeks I will be updating posts about the process. I will let you all know how it goes, if it goes, and if it’s going well.
If it goes well, I’ll tell you exactly what I did.
Have any of you used InkShares? What’s your experience been? Let me know in the comments below.
